Process Automation Developer

Job Overview

• Working collaboratively as part of an Agile team across Operations and IT to design, develop and deploy RPA automations across the business unit to help drive operational efficiency and quality targets.
• Provide technical assistance and support to the business users of deployed automation tools as required.

Job Description

• Develop and deploy automations using the appropriate tools which adhere to core principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand
• Maintain individual specialisation, but cross trained and able to participate in projects using multiple technologies
• Support existing processes and implement change requirements as part of a structured change control process
• Resolve issues that arise in day to day running of automated processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required
• Ensure change control processes are followed on all initiatives and documentation is created/updated for initiatives delivered
• Create technical development and release documents to complement the design and requirement documents provided by the Analysis team
• Write test scripts and test functions for developed tools, complete initial / functional QC as well as troubleshooting UAT / volume testing
• Provide support to the wider Funds Business and IFDS as required to ensure the successful delivery of all projects: regulatory, ManCo specific and/or root cause analysis (as required)
• Ensure change control processes are followed on all initiatives and documentation is created/updated for initiatives delivered
• Undertake short and medium term planning for the team’s work, ensuring team members are able to work within their capacity.
• Work jointly with the rest of the management team to ensure initiatives which impact more than one automation tool are appropriately resourced and deliverables planned for.
• Track delivery against plan to ensure RPA programme of work is delivered on target.
• Undertake longer term planning on future team structure and requirements for wider RPA implementation.

 Qualification & Skill requirements:

• Degree or equivalent, or proven practical experience in a similar role considerer
• Experience using RPA software tools must be UI path
• Experience using workflow software tools e.g. AWD (version 10+)
• Experience with coding languages such as C# and/or Java, HTML, CSS, VB .NET, SQL Server, VBA
• Experience with business process modelling notation (BPMN)
• Project management experience or management of change experience
• Business process review experience
• Experience leading and facilitating workshops / focus groups
• Experience of stakeholder management with all levels of staff
• Excellent planning, organizational and reporting skills
• Track record of taking a pragmatic and innovative approach
• Experience building business cases and providing concise cost/benefit analysis
